  1. Take all dals. Wash it and soak it in water for 4 hours. Strain water and grind it finely just like dosa batter. Keep it for fermentation for 4 to 5 hours. Add pinch of asafoetida and salt to the batter. Mix it well.
  2. For stuffing add 1 tsp oil to kadhai and add onion, stir fry it till it become transculent, add peas to it stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes then add turmeric powder, green chilli and garlic paste to it. Mix it well and cook for 5 min. At the end add salt, lemon juice and 1 tsp of sugar to it and mix it well..
  3. Keep this mixture for cooling and add finely chopped coriander to it. Grind coarsely in mixie and stuffing is ready..
  4. Pour dal batter and Make small uttapam on pan, keep stuffing in between and again pour batter on it. Leave some oil from side of uttapam to roast it well.
  5. Roast the stuffed uttapam from both the sides well. Cut it in middle and serve it hot with mint and coriander chutney and tomato sauce..
