Ingredients of Tricolour Sooji Halwa
- You need 2 cups of sooji.
- It's 4 tbsp of pure oil.
- You need 2 cups of milk.
- Prepare 1 cup of grated sugar.
- Prepare 2 cups of water.
- You need Few of strands of saffron or eatable orange colour.
- You need 1 pinch of eatable green colour.
- It's Few of few crushed cashews, almonds & raisins.
Tricolour Sooji Halwa step by step
- Take a pan,put ghee in it.Add sooji & cook till it become light pink in colour,now add almonds, cashews & raisin in it & let it be cool down..
- Take a bowl, mix water & milk. Put it in three equal parts..
- Add saffron colour to one part,green colour to another part and let the remain part as it is..
- Heat a pan,put one part of sooji, coloured orange water & milk. Cook till it become a smooth paste.stir continuously..
- Heat another part of sooji with green colour, milk& water.Cook till becomes a smooth paste..
- In another heated pan add leftover portion of sooji, milk& water.cook till it becomes smooth paste..
- Take a bowl,Grease it with desi ghee,pour orange paste first & press it,now add white paste & then green paste & pressed well..
- Let it cool down. Put a plate on it and take out the halwa. Garnish with almonds..
