Ingredients of Kada Prasad
- It's 1 cup of Whole wheat flour, preferably coarse wheat flour.
- It's 2/3 cup of Sugar.
- You need 2/3 cup of Ghee / clarified butter.
- It's 1 tablespoon of almonds chopped.
- It's 2 pinch of cardamom powder (optional).
- It's 3 cups of Water.

Kada Prasad instructions
- Heat ghee in a kadhai /wok and add the wheat flour and start stirring it briskly, to avoid lumps.
- Keep stirring it for the next 5-7 minutes on a medium to low flame or until the colour of the wheat flour changes to golden brown and you get the aroma.
- Once you get the desired nice colour then add sugar followed by 3 cups of hot water.
- Keep stirring frequently and bring it to a boil..
- Simmer the flame add, cardamom powder and stir for a minute until the ghee starts separating from the halwa. (This step is very important to get a light and perfect halwa).
- Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish with some sliced almonds, cashews or any dry fruits that you have and serve hot..
