  10. It's 1/2 cup of Green Coriander(Finely Chopped).
  11. Prepare 1/2 cup of Mint Leaves(Finely Chopped).

  13. It's 2 of Star Anise.
  14. Prepare 5-6 of Cloves.
  15. Prepare 2 piece of Cinnamon Stick.
  16. You need 5 of Green Cardamoms.
  17. It's 1/4 cup of Cashew Nuts.
  18. You need 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
  19. Prepare 1 tsp of Red Chilli Powder.

  21. It's 1/2 tsp of Cumin Coriander Powder.

  24. Prepare 2 tbsp of Ginger Garlic Paste.
  25. Prepare 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds.
  26. You need 2 tsp of Ghee.

  28. Prepare 4 tbsp of Milk.

Veg Dum Biryani instructions

  1. Soak the Basmati rice for 30 mins and then in the boiling water add 1 star anise,2 Cardamoms,1 stick cinnamon and 2-3 cloves. Add the rice and cook it. Don't cook 100%..
  2. Take a pen and add oil. Once the oil heated,then add 2 thinly sliced onion and fry it until it becomes golden brown. Keep it aside..
  3. In a small bowl, add saffron strands and keep it aside..
  4. Now in a pan add oil and let cumin seeds crackle. After that add 1 star anise,2 Cardamoms,1 stick cinnamon,2-3 cloves and ginger garlic paste. Saute it for 2-3 minutes. Then add thinly sliced onion in it. Once the onion become translucent,add potato and tomato in it. Cook it for 2-3 minutes..
  5. Now add the remaining veggies(Beans,Carrot,Peas,Cauliflower) and cook it well. Once all the veggies cooked properly,add turmeric powder,red Chilli Powder,Biryani Masala and Cumin Coriander powder and give it a good mix. Last add the curd in it and mix it properly..
  6. Lastly add some chopped coriander to the veggies. Now take a pan which has a thick bottom, add oil and roaste cashew nuts until it becomes golden brown and put it aside..
  7. Now in the same pan,layer half of the veggies first then layer half of the rice on it.Sprinkle half of the chopped coriander, mint leaves and cashew nuts,fried onions. Same way make another layer of veggies and rice.Sprinkle remaining chopped coriander and mint leaves,fried onion. Add cashew nuts and saffron milk on it..
  8. Using the aluminium foil,cover the pot. Cover the pan with the lid. Keep the pan on the tawa,keep the flame to the lowest and cook veg biryani for 45 minutes..
  9. Heat a Coal on the high flame until you can see the red spot on it. Put this coal in the Biryani in small plate or bowl. Add ghee on it and cover the pan with the lid..
  10. After 5 minutes you can open the lid and serve the Biryani Hot. Here I have served biryani with raita..
