Ingredients of Paal Payasam/Rice Kheer

  1. You need 1/2 cup of Red raw rice/ Unakkalari.
  2. You need 1.1/4 cup of Sugar.
  3. It's 3 cup of Milk.
  4. It's 8 cup of Water.

Paal Payasam/Rice Kheer instructions

  1. Wash rice. Drain out and keep it aside..
  2. In a heavy bottom pan/uruli, pour water and allow it to boil..
  3. Now pour the thick milk, stir continously and allow to boil..
  4. Stir for about 20 - 30 mins, so that the milkĀ and water mixture reduced to half and the colour turns to pink..
  5. Now add rice and maintain a medium flame and when rice is 3/4 th done add sugar, combine well..
  6. Cook it for another 5 - 10 mins..
  7. Payasam is ready to serve..
