- Prepare 3 bowls of khichdi rice.
- You need 1 bowl of udad daal.
- Prepare 1/2 Bowl of poha.

Idli sambhar with coconut chutney instructions
- Wash and soak daal, rice, poha and fenugreek seeds separately for min 6 hrs..
- Drain excess water and grind rice, poha and fenugreek seeds together in small batches by adding little water and then grind the daal separately. It wl gv a smooth fine batter for idli.
- Now cover and keep in dark corner of your kitchen or under sunlight for 6-8 hrs to ferment..
- Meanwhile you can prepare coconut chtney and refregarate it. tamper it Before serving..
- Wash and soak tuvar daal for minimum 30 minutes.pressure cook it with turmeric powder and salt for 4 whistles. Blend it with hand blender and keep aside..
- For saambhar take a deep pan heat oil, add mustard seeds, let it crackle than add cumin seeds, curry leaves, sliced onions and saute for few minutes untill golden brown. Add some sambhar masala also..
- Then add tomato puree and green chillies cook for few minutes and season it. once tomatoes are cooked add some more saambhar masala add salt to taste and add the boiled daal into it. Let the saambhar simmer on low flane for few minutes..
- Now prepare idlis. Add salt to taste to the odli batter. Mix well. Grease the idli stand and pour idli batter on each. Heat water in a steamer,place the idli stand, cover and steam for 5-7 minutes.
- Finally tamper the coconut chutney With mustard seeds and curry leaves. Adjust the salt. and serve the lip smacking healthy breakfast..
