Ingredients of Oats Uttapam
- You need of instant oats.
- It's of fine semolina.
- You need of baking soda.
- You need of ginger paste.
- You need of curd.
- It's of salt.
- Prepare of chopped onions.
- Prepare of chopped carrots.
- It's of chopped coriander leaves.
- It's of chopped green chillies.
- You need of vegetable oil (for each uttapam).
Oats Uttapam step by step
- Grind the oats into a fine powder.
- Mix the semolina with the oats powder.
- Now add the baking soda into the oats mixture & mix everything nicely.
- Now add the ginger paste & the curd into the oats mixture and give everything a good mix.
- Now pour some water little at a time into the oats mixture & mix everything very well until a smooth batter is formed. The consistency of the batter should be like dosa batter.
- Now mix all the chopped vegetables into a bowl.
- Lastly mix the salt into the batter.
- Heat a tawa & spread a tiny amount of oil onto the tawa.
- Pour a ladle full of batter onto the tawa & wait for some bubble to arrive on the top surface.
- Then add some vegetable mixture on top & spread the vegetable layer a little bit towards the edges of the uttapam.
- Now cover the pan & let it sit on medium flame for few minutes.
- Then drizzle some oil from top & flip the uttapam.
- Again cover the pan & let it sit on medium flame until the other side is also thoroughly cooked.
- When they are done serve them hot with any chutney & raita of your choice.
