Ingredients of Aloo Matar Paneer
- You need 100 gm of paneer cubes.
- You need 1 of potato cubed.
- It's 1 cup of green peas.
- You need 2 tbsp of oil.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of ghee.
- You need 2 of bay leaves.
- You need 1 inch of cinnamon stick.
- Prepare 2 of green cardamoms.
- You need 4 of cloves.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
- It's 1 of onion chopped.
- It's 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste.
- You need 1 tbsp of tomato paste.
- It's to taste of salt.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
- You need 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of coriander-cumin powder.
- It's 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of coriander leaves, chopped.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of yoghurt well beaten.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of fresh cream.
- Prepare 1 tsp of kasuri methi crushed.
Aloo Matar Paneer instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the potatoes and the paneer cubes, separately till slightly brown in colour. Drain and keep aside..
- To the remaining oil add ghee & temper with the cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves. Saute for a few seconds..
- Add the onion & stir fry till light brown..
- Add the spice paste & stir till the oil separates..
- Add the beaten yoghurt & kasuri methi. Mix everything well & saute for 2 min..
- Add the potatoes and combine well. Cover and simmer for 1-2 minutes..
- Add 3/4 cup water, fried paneer & the green peas. Cover & simmer for 4-5 min..
- When done, switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves..
- Drizzle the cream and serve with any form of rice or Indian bread..
