Ingredients of Aloo Matar Paneer

  1. You need 100 gm of paneer cubes.
  2. You need 1 of potato cubed.
  3. It's 1 cup of green peas.
  4. You need 2 tbsp of oil.
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp of ghee.
  6. You need 2 of bay leaves.
  7. You need 1 inch of cinnamon stick.
  8. Prepare 2 of green cardamoms.
  9. You need 4 of cloves.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
  11. It's 1 of onion chopped.
  12. It's 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste.
  13. You need 1 tbsp of tomato paste.
  14. It's to taste of salt.
  15. Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  16. You need 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  17. You need 1 tbsp of coriander-cumin powder.
  18. It's 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder.
  19. You need 1 tbsp of coriander leaves, chopped.
  20. Prepare 1/2 cup of yoghurt well beaten.
  21. Prepare 1 tbsp of fresh cream.
  22. Prepare 1 tsp of kasuri methi crushed.

Aloo Matar Paneer instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and saute the potatoes and the paneer cubes, separately till slightly brown in colour. Drain and keep aside..
  2. To the remaining oil add ghee & temper with the cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves. Saute for a few seconds..
  3. Add the onion & stir fry till light brown..
  4. Add the spice paste & stir till the oil separates..
  5. Add the beaten yoghurt & kasuri methi. Mix everything well & saute for 2 min..
  6. Add the potatoes and combine well. Cover and simmer for 1-2 minutes..
  7. Add 3/4 cup water, fried paneer & the green peas. Cover & simmer for 4-5 min..
  8. When done, switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves..
  9. Drizzle the cream and serve with any form of rice or Indian bread..
