Ingredients of Pineapple Halwa
- You need 1/2 cup of Semolina.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Milkmaid/Sugar as required.
- It's 1/2 cup of Pineapple Puree.
- It's as needed of Water.
- It's 2 tbsp of Ghee.
- It's 1 tbsp of Cashew.
- You need 1/2 tbsp of Raisins.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Almonds.
- It's 1/4 tsp of Cardamom powder.
- You need 3/4 cup of Chopped square Pineapple.
- You need 3 of Sliced Pineapple for Garnishing.
- Prepare as needed of Few Strands of Saffron(optional).
- It's 1-2 Drop of Pineapple Essence(optional).
Pineapple Halwa instructions
- First chop the pineapple in small cubes and keep aside. In a pan take the chopped pineapple...water and milkmaid. Add saffron to get a yellow colour...add pineapple essence for pineapple flavor. Stir well and bring to a boil. while simmering, add pineapple puree.. do stir. In another pan take ghee and heat it....then add cashews....stir and add sooji.....stir very well..
- Then add cardamom powder and stir.....stir & saute the rava till the cashews turn a light golden and you see ghee releasing from the sides. takes about 4 to 5 minutes on a low flame. keep on stirring, so the rava does not get bronwed..
- Now pour the pineapple mixture to the pan with the roasted sooji. Stir quickly and so that lumps are not formed. Simmer on a low flame and allow the sooji to absorb the water...add raisins stir well. In just about 4 minutes, the rava will soften up and the pineapple Halwa is done. Serve pineapple halwa hot as it is or garnished with some pineapple slices....or as u like..
