- Soak red masoor yellow moong dal,rice for 4hours..
- Cook soak dals and rice in cooker vessel with 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt with 1 cup of water for 3 whistles.Chopped tomato and onion..
- In non stick pan cooker,add ghee,..do tempering of mustard,cummin seeds, black pepper seeds,a piece of cinnamon, turmeric powder and red chilli powder,add dry red chillies,bay leaves,saute for 1mins,add chopped onion and tomato,add 1/2 cup water, salt to taste and cook for 5 mins till gravy is formed..
- Add half cooked masoor dal-yellow moong dal-rice khichdi to tomato-onion gravy, mix well..cook for 2 whistles. Cool the cooker for 10 mins before opening.Serve/relish hot dal khichdi by pouring 1tbsp melted ghee on it..
