Ingredients of Mawa Gujiya

  1. Prepare 1 cup of all purpose flour.
  2. Prepare 1 tbsp of ghee.
  3. It's 1 tbspn of water.
  4. It's 1/2 cup of mawa.
  5. Prepare 4 of cashews chopped.
  6. You need 4 of almonds chopped.
  7. You need 12-13 of raisins.
  8. You need 1 tbsp of desiccated coconut.
  9. You need 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder.
  10. You need 3 tbsp of sugar.
  11. It's as needed of Oil/ghee for frying.

Mawa Gujiya instructions

  1. Making the stuffing: Heat the mawa in a pan on medium heat........keep stirring continuously, it will start to melt. Cook till it becomes light brown, turn off the stove. It took me 3-4 minutes.......remove it to a bowl. So it gets cool down.....Once mawa is cool.....add sugar......cardamom powder.....cashews..... almonds and raisins.....mix it well...keep it aside..
  2. Making the dough: In a bowl add all purpose flour(maida)......ghee and rub gently........start adding little water...... and knead into lil smooth nt too much smooth or hard dough..
  3. Making mawa gujiya recipe: From dough divide it into 10 equal portions.....make a ball and roll it like puri and put stuffing in the center.Apply little water around the edges using your finger or you can use brush........Fold it into half circle. Seal the edges by pressing it......and seal it well If you have gujiya moulds then use that........make all gujiya.......heat the oil or ghee in pan on high heat for frying..
  4. Once it is hot enough, then deep fry.......once it is golden brown and crispy from all sides...remove it to paper towel......let it cool and serve..
