- First rinse rice very well in water then soak rice in water for 30 minutes..
- Heat oil in a pan add the whole spices and saute then till they are fragrant..
- Then add the sliced onions,stir very well to medium flame till the onions become golden brown..
- Then add tomatoes stir and saute for 3 minutes..

- Add soaked rice and water and cover the pan with a lid and cook the biryani till the rice grains are done..
- Once the rice grains are cooked cover and allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving biryani..
