Sambhar step by step
- Cook tur dal for 30 mins.
- Boiled all the chopped vegetables like piece of drumstick,brinjal,pumpkin and onion and tomato for 15 -20 min.
- Add tamarind paste, chilli powder, turmeric, sambhar masala and salt and add mixture of boiled tur dal and boiled vegetables in one pan and boil for 2-3 min with with all the masala.

- Heat the oil in a kadai add oil add mustard seed, fenugreek, cumin seed after crackle of all seed add pinch of asafoetida then add curry leaves and red sabut mirch 1 piece.
- Add tempering to the mixture then boil for another 2 min.
- Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with idli, uttapa, wada and dosa.
