Ingredients of Masala Uttapam
- Prepare of Urad daal(Black gram).
- You need of Rice(double quantity of udad daal).
- Prepare of Fenugreek seed.
- You need of Water.
- Prepare of Salt.
- Prepare of boiled potatoes.
- It's of chopped green chilli.
- Prepare of chopped coriander leaves.
- You need of Mustard seed.
- You need of cumin seed.
- It's of Curry-leaves.
- Prepare of turmeric powder.
- You need of red chilli powder.
- You need of Oil.
Masala Uttapam step by step
- For Uttapam batter- Wash and soak udad daal, rice and fenugreek seed in water for 8 hours..
- After 8 hours remove excess water and finely grind. Let batter fragment for 10 hours..
- For Masala- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan,splutter mustard seed, cumin seed, add curry leaves,green chilli and saute it..
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt, saute it and add boiled potatoes.Cook for 2 minutes then add coriander leaves..
- Add salt in batter and mix well. Take 1 cup batter in a pan, spread a little,add masala in middle.Sprinkle few oil drops around the uttapam..
- Cook both side evenly and serve hot with chutney or shambhar..
