Sambhar daal. Daal is very different from Sambhar. Dal is a delicious Indian lentil curry made with different kinds of Dal - is a preparation of pulses, spicy stew prepared. Dal can be seen as a milder cousin of the South.

Ingredients of Sambhar daal

  1. It's 1 cup of arhar daal.
  2. It's 1 bowl of mix vegetables (brinjal,bottle gourd, lady's finger,beans).

  10. You need 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds.

Sambhar daal step by step

  1. Boil the daal in a pressure cooker adding salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds,red chilli whole and curry leaves.
  3. Add the onion chopped and fry well.
  4. Add the vegetables and saute well adding salt and turmeric powder.
  5. Add the ginger and garlic paste and saute well.
  6. Cover it for 10 mnts or so.
  7. Add the daal and boil adding the Sambhar masala.
  8. Add tamarind pulp mix.
  9. Finally add sugar and mix.
  10. Serve it with main course.
