Ingredients of Punjabi Panjeeri

  1. Prepare 1/2 kg of whole wheat flour.
  2. It's 1/2 kg of Ghee.

  4. Prepare 100 gram of Almonds.
  5. You need 100 gram of Cashews.
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp of Ajwain/carom seeds.
  7. You need 1/2 tbsp of Sonth (dried ginger powder).
  8. You need 50 gram of Makhana (dried lotus seeds).
  9. It's 1 kg of Desi Sugar powdered.
  10. You need 100 gram of Gond.

Punjabi Panjeeri instructions

  1. Fry the gond in the ghee, first over high and then over low heat, till cooked through.it puffs up and turned to be crispy..
  2. Remove with a slotted spoon, and grind in a blender, very fine..
  3. In the same ghee, fry the makahanas till brown, remove and fry almonds and Cashews..
  4. Roast the atta in the remaindered ghee till a light brown (over low heat)..
  5. Add magaz,ajwain and roast for 2-3 minutes..
  6. Remove from heat, mix in the almonds,cashews, sonth, makahana and gond and leave to cool..
  7. When cool, mix in the sugar and serve or store..
