Ingredients of Basanti Pulav

  1. Prepare 300 gm of Govindo Bhog Rice.
  2. You need 1.5 tsp of turmeric powder.
  3. It's 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder.

  6. Prepare 1/2 cup of green peas.
  7. It's 1/2 cup of beans cut into small pieces.
  8. Prepare 1-2 of bay leaves.

  11. Prepare 2-3 of cardamom.

  13. You need 2 tablespoon of Ghee.

Basanti Pulav step by step

  1. Clean and soak the rice for 30 mins.
  2. Drain out the water and mix turmeric, salt, black pepper and some oil and keep it in this marination for 1.5 hours.
  3. Heat a pan and add ghee. Once it's hot add the bay leaves, red chilli and all garam masala whole.
  4. Once they crackle add the marinated rice and saute it well. Mix the beans and peas and saute it again.
  5. Add double the amount of water and cover and let it cook in low flame. Keep stirring in between.
  6. Once the rice is cooked almost 90% close the gas and let it stay covered.
  7. Serve it hot with dahi or some fries or chutney.
