  10. You need 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

  1. Peel, wash and the dice suran. Before cutting rub oil on your palms.
  2. Now heat the water in a pan and boil it for 5 minutes. Drain it and keep aside..
  3. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry suran and keep aside..
  4. Heat the oil in the cooker. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves and chopped onion and saute it. Add ginger and garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes away..
  5. Add chopped tomatoes cook till tomatoes gets tender..
  6. Add green peas and jimikand and add in spices..
  7. Now use the water in which we have boiled the suran. if needed more use can add plain water too. Cook until 2 whistles come..
  8. Suran matar is ready. Serve with Chapati.
