Chhole made with this masala reminded me of my hometown in Amritsar. i was under the impression that bhature is a bigger version of poori and is prepared from the same dough. however, i was corrected last year from my chef friend - vishal gill. he is currently working in one of the famous restaurants here in australia. even the recipe of bhature was shared by him. many.

Mix of roasted puffed rice, crisp pooris, small pieces of boiled potatoes, salted fried gram sev, finely chopped onions, chopped green chilly, chopped coriander, green chutney, garlic chutney, red chilly chutney, sweet chutney with pepper and salt. Though Chhole Puri is used as a Proper Noun in English, this very name falls under trivial nomenclature. > Chhole is exactly called Garbanzo beans in English. Chickpeas or Bengal gram are few other names. The poori they make is so good and it is far beyond any poori I have had in the US.
