Ingredients of Cabbage Vadi

  1. Prepare 1 of small cabbage grated.
  2. It's 1/2 cup of coriander leaves chopped.
  3. You need 1 of small tea cup gramflour.
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of rice flour or cornflour.
  5. You need 1 tbsp of kanda lasun masala.
  6. It's 8-10 of garlic cloves.
  7. Prepare 3 of green chillies.
  8. It's 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
  9. Prepare 1/4 tsp of turmeric.
  10. You need to taste of salt.
  11. Prepare pinch or 1/4 tsp of ajwain / hing.

Cabbage Vadi step by step

  1. Grind garlic green chilli cumin seed to coarse paste.
  2. Transfer grated cabbage to a bowl add garlic green chilli cumin paste gramflour rice flour kanda lasun masala turmeric salt to taste hing coriander leaves mix everything well first.
  3. If the mixture looks to wet to handle then add little gramflour to adjust consistency..grease a sieve with oil...make long and cylindrical shaped log of the cabbage mixture.
  4. Keep these prepared logs on the greased sieve 1 inch apart as they will increase in size after steaming.
  5. Heat water in vessel once water starts boiling keep sieve inside on a stand top and then cover lid....steam for 15 to 20 minutes on medium flame.
  6. Then remove cool and cut them into slices deep fry in hot oil over medium heat until ligh golden serve with ketchup.
