Ingredients of Gajar Barfi

  1. You need 1 Kilo of Carrot.
  2. It's 1 Cup of Milk.
  3. It's 1 1/2 Cups of Ghee.
  4. You need 1 Cup of Mawa.
  5. Prepare 2 Tablespoons of Almonds Cashews Chopped n.
  6. It's 1/2 Teaspoon of Cardamom Seed Powder.

Gajar Barfi step by step

  1. Wash, peel and grate the carrot. Add ghee to the kadhai, add carrots and cook them in ghee for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Carrot will start taking a shine because of ghee, add milk at this stage. Cook it for another 5 minutes while stirring. Once the milk is completely absorbed and the carrot looks almost cooked add sugar to it.
  3. Let the sugar dissolve, and then add grated mawa. Stir it for 2-3 minutes, remove from flame. Add cardamom seed powder, and chopped nuts. Spread it in a greased/ foiled/ butter paper lined tray. Allow it to cool, then cut in desired shapes..
