Ingredients of Semiya kesari
- You need 2 cup of roasted vermicelli.
- You need 1 1/2 cup of jaggery.
- Prepare 4 cup of water.
- It's 5 tbsp of ghee.
- Prepare as needed of dry fruit (Cashews and raisins).
- Prepare 1 pinch of salt.
- It's pinch of Orange or yellow colour powder.
- It's 2 tsp of cardamom powder.

- In a kadai, add 2 tbsps ghee, fry cashews and raisins. Remove from the ghee when cashews turn golden brown and raisins plump up. In the same kadai, add 2 tbsps ghee and roast the vermicelli to golden brown. In another vessel boil 1/2 cup water, add jaggery to it and boil till u get a syrup.Strain it and keep aside. Boil 4 cups of water and add the roasted vermicelli to it..
- Once the vermicelli becomes soft and tender and water almost evaporates add the jaggery syrup and keep stirring till the mixture becomes thick. Add colour powder and cardamom powder and mix. Add the cashews and raisins on the top and serve. Vermicelli kesari ready to serve!!!😀😋.
This kesari can be prepared using milk as well. In the same kadai, put one more teaspoon ghee and fry the semiya till light brown. Simmer the flame and cover the kadai with a lid. For preparing semiya kesari, first fry nuts and raisins in ghee. Fry vermicelli in ghee till golden in color.
