Ingredients of Vada Pav
- Prepare 5 of boiled and mashed potatoes.
- It's 10 of pav.
- You need as needed of Oil.
- It's 1 pinch of Asafoetida.
- Prepare 1 tsp of garlic ginger and green chilli paste.
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
- It's 1 pinch of baking soda.
- Prepare 1 cup of gram flour.
- You need 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
- You need 2 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves.
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
Vada Pav step by step
- Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in the pan and add mustard seed, cumin seeds and asafoetida to it, as soon as the colour starts changing, add curry leaves, garlic, ginger and green chilli paste, turmeric powder, then mix the mashed potatoes and salt and stir till the potato water dries. Turn off the gas and now add coriander leaves and keep the mixture to cool down..
- Divide the potato mixture into equal parts and make round balls..
- Now mix gram flour, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric, baking soda in a vessel and then add water to it and prepare a thick paste..
- Heat oil for frying in a pan. Wrap the potatoes in the prepared gram flour paste and fry them in the oil till they turn golden..
- Serve hot vada with pav and chutney..
