Ingredients of GreenPea Barfi
- You need 1 1/2 cup of frozen green Peas (you can use fresh one).
- You need 1 cup of freshly prepared Paneer.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of full fat Milk.
- You need 3 tablespoon of Ghee.
- It's 1/4 cup of Milk powder.
- You need 1/4 cup of Sugar.
- You need 1 teaspoon of Cardamom powder.
GreenPea Barfi step by step
- Take 1&1/2 cup of frozen peas and 1 cup of paneer..
- With 1/2 cup of milk blend the peas to make a smooth puree..
- Transfer to a heavy bottomed pan..
- Cook in medium heat until the mixture becomes thick and removes the raw smell of peas..
- Add in ghee, mix well and fry for about 10 minutes(low heat)..
- Next add in 1 cup of paneer/chena and mix well..
- When paneer incorporate to the pea mixture well, add in 1/4th cup of sugar and milk powder. Also add in cardamom powder and mix well..
- Further cook in medium low heat until ghee starts seperating from the mixture..
- Remove from heat, grease a dish with little ghee and spread the mixture on the dish evenly..
- Spread some walnut crush or cashew crush and keep in the refrigerator to set..
- After 1/2 an hour, take out the dish and cut in barfi shape pieces..
- Serve this moderately healthy barfi or fudge to your family..
