  1. It's 2-3 of whloe Pomfret cleaned and put some cuts in both sides.
  2. You need 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
  3. You need 1 tsp of coriander seeds.
  4. It's 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
  5. Prepare 1 bowl of coconut, grated.
  6. You need 2-3 of red dry chillies.
  7. It's 1 tbsp of vinegar.
  8. You need 1 tbsp of oil.
  9. You need 1 of onion, chopped.
  10. Prepare 1-2 of green chillies, slit.
  11. You need of Little Tarmarind plump.
  12. Prepare 1 tsp of ginger, chopped.
  13. It's 2-3 of cloves.
  14. You need 1 stick of cinnamon.

Goan Style Pomfret Gravy step by step

  1. Take the pomfret fish and season it with salt and turmeric powder. Spread it on all the pieces and keep aside..
  2. Dry roast dried red chillies, cinnamon, cloves, coriander seeds & cumin seeds on a pan for 2-3 mins..
  3. Add all the roasted spices in a mixer and then add coconut, vinegar & water and grind it into a fine paste..
  4. In a pan, add oil & onions and fry till onions become golden brown in colour.
  5. Then add the ground paste and fry it for a few seconds and then add water and cook it some more..
  6. Add the fish into the gravy and mix well and let the gravy simmer for sometime. Cook the fish for 4-5 mins..
  7. Next add the tamarind pulp & green chillies and let it simmer for about a minute. Serve with some rice and enjoy๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Š.
