- Prepare 1/2 cup of rice.
- It's 1/4 cup of moong dal (split green gram).
- You need 2 cups of water.
- It's 1 cup of brown sugar or to taste.
- You need 1/4 tsp. of cardamom powder.
- Prepare 1 tbsp. of rose water.
- It's 2 cups of milk.
- You need 2 tbsp. of ghee.

Sweet Pongal step by step
- Dry roast the moong dal till light golden and and keep aside..
- Soak the dal and rice in water for an hour..
- Wash and drain. Add 2 cups fresh water and pressure cook for 8-10 minutes on a low flame after the first whistle..
- Heat ghee in a pan & lightly saute the mixed nuts till light golden. Keep aside..
- Transfer to the pan along with the milk..
- Add sugar to it..
- Simmer on a low flame by mashing them in between. Add the cardamom powder and mix..

- When done, add the rose water and switch off the flame..
