Ingredients of Poha kesari (Aval Kesari)
- Prepare 1/2 cup of flattened rice.
- It's 1/4 cup of sugar.
- You need 1 of cupmilk.
- It's of Some dry fruits (like raisins, cashew nuts and almonds).
- You need 1 pinch of orange food colour.
- It's 2-3 tbsp of ghee(clarified butter).
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's of Some saffron threads (Optinal).

Poha kesari (Aval Kesari) instructions
- Take a kadhai heat 1tbsp ghee and fry dry fruits Same kadhai rost flattened rice and grind it Now boil milk After boiled milk add coarsely grinded poha. Stir continusly until thickend Add saffron threads, sugar and combine well Add food colour and roasted dry fruit.
- Add food colour and roasted dry fruits give it a good mix Now add ghee and cardamom powder and mix it properly Poha kesari ready to serve garnish some dry fruits and serve it..
Conventionally, we make kesari using Semolina. Aval Kesari is another variety of Kesari which is so mouth-watering. It is a very easy sweet recipe, which you can make on janmashtami/Krishna jayanthi or also some other special occasions. Heat a pan with little ghee and fry broken cashewnuts in it until golden in medium flame. Transfer to a bowl, add poha to it.
