Ari unda or rice laddoo. Rice Laddoo or Ari Unda is a favourite of two most favourite people in my life. Every time he comes down to Mangalore I make these laddoos for him. Ari Unda is a delicious traditional sweet prepared with parboiled rice.

Ingredients of Ari unda or rice laddoo

  1. You need 1 cup of Matta Rice.
  2. You need 3/4 cup of grated coconut.
  3. It's 1/2 cup of Jaggery grated.
  4. It's Few of Toasted cashewnuts.
  5. Prepare 1/8 tsp of Cardamom powder.

Ari unda or rice laddoo step by step

  1. Wash rice and drain it..
  2. Heat a pan and roast the rice till it changes it's colour uniformly to a darker shade and once it's crisp and shrinks a bit switch off the flame and transfer it into a plate let it cool down..
