Ingredients of Ghee Pongal

  1. You need 1/2 cup of Moong dal -.
  2. It's 1/2 cup of Raw rice -.
  3. It's 1.5 tsps of Ghee -.
  4. It's 6 of Cashews -.
  5. Prepare to taste of Salt.
  6. Prepare 1 tsp of jeera -.
  7. You need 1/2 tsp of pepper -.
  8. Prepare 2 of Green chilli -.
  9. You need a few of Curry leaves -.
  10. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ginger - chopped.

Ghee Pongal instructions

  1. Soak rice and moong dhal for 30 mins.
  2. Dry roast moong dhal and set aside.Pressure cook rice and dhal with 4 cups of water for 3 whistles.
  3. Fry the cashews with ghee and set aside.
  4. Take oil in a pan and add jeera,pepper,ginger,green chilly,curry leaves and fry for 2 mins.
  5. Add salt,peringayam(hing)..
  6. Add these to  cooked pongal.Mix well.add little ghee to it.
