AVAL KESARI (Sweet Poha) instructions

  1. Take a cup of poha and wash it well..
  2. Take a pan, use one tbsp of ghee and roast the cashew and almonds. Keep it aside..
  3. Now in the same pan saute the poha for a few minutes. Keep it aside..
  4. Pour water into the pan and add saffron or kesari powder (if you do not have both then you can add turmeric powder) and let it boil..
  5. Now add the poha, stir it till the poha gets thick..
  6. As it thickens, add the sugar..
  7. Now the stir the kesari till it gets a little thick..
  8. Add a tbsp of ghee and mix it well..
  9. Garnish with almonds and cashew..
