  1. Wash the fish fillets well. Drain the excess water and place the fish in a wide mixing bowl..
  2. Add the turmeric & red chilli powders, the ginger garlic paste & salt to taste..
  3. Add the lemon juice. Mix gently and rub the fish well with the masalas. Cover and set aside for 20-30 mins..
  4. Place the semolina and rice flour on a plate, add a dash of salt, mix..
  5. Take each fish piece and place it on top of the flour mix, coat well with the flour from both sides..
  6. Heat a nonstick tava, grease with 2-3 tsp oil. Place the flour-dusted fish on it and shallow fry on low-medium heat for 5 mins. Drizzle a little oil on top & on the sides, flip and fry from both sides till golden brown & crisp..
  7. Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney or as an accompaniment to fish curry & rice..
