Carrot Halwa Tart instructions
- Deskin and finely grate the carrots.
- Melt the ghee in a wok and stir the shredded carrots on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
- Add water and bring to a boil.
- After which, reduce heat and cook covered for upto 10 minutes.
- Next add milk and sugar. Mix well.
- Continue to cook covered.
- Meanwhile, for the tart, combine flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
- Add the melted butter and mix well to form a crumbly mix.
- Knead a soft dough by gradually adding warm water and keep covered for upto 15 minutes.
