The North Indians refer to it as Sooji or Suji Halwa while the South Indians know it as Rava Kesari or simply Kesari.   1. In heavy or nonstick kadai melt 2 tbsp of ghee in medium flame, once melted add cashews, roast until golden crispy colour. Drain this and keep aside. Now add raisins and saute until it puffs up. Remove and keep aside with cashews..

Cook rava mixture on the medium flame until rava cook completely. Rava should absorb all the water and the mixture starts to thickening. Once this started add ghee little by little and stir..
