Ingredients of Boondi Laddoo
- It's 2 cup of Besan(gram flour ).
- Prepare as needed of Water.
- You need 2.5 cup of sugar.
- It's 2 pinch of Salt.
- Prepare 1 pinch of Baking soda(optional).
- Prepare 7-8 of Cardamom pods.
- You need 7-8 of Cloves.
- It's 1 pinch of Edible camphor.
- Prepare as needed of Dry fruits (I used cashews, almonds and raisins).
- You need 1 tbsp of Rock sugar.
- Prepare as needed of oil.
Boondi Laddoo step by step
- Take Besan flour into a vessel and add required amount of water 💧to get batter approximately 3/4 cup. Also add salt and baking powder too..
- Prepare sugar syrup. Make cardamom pods and clove into powder and add to sugar powder. It must be one string/thread consistency but mom used to keep for two more minutes after reaching one tread consistency which makes the laddoos taste unique,better and have nice texture..
- Heat kadai and pour oil for deep frying..
- Fry boondis using a perforated ladle normally used to make laddoos. Take two ladles of batter and keep the ladle above oil and tap the ladle with another ladle so that droplets of the batter begin to fall into the hot oil. Fry them keeping on high flame 🔥and pour the fried boodis into hot sugar syrup and mix well. Likewise fry all the boondis in batches..
- Also fry crushed almonds, cashews and raisins in little ghee and add to mixture. Add rock sugar at last because they easily melt.
- Mix the mixture thoroughly and make into round shaped laddoos. Making laddoos is difficult bcoz of our unique sugar syrup consistency. So, while making laddoos we dip our palm in warm water once in a while. Yummy and unique laddoos are ready. ❤️🌹😋!!!!!.
