- You need 1 cup of semolina.

Sheera/Sooji halwa step by step
- Roast semolina and ghee on a low flame for 20 to 25 minutes. Keep stirring continuously..

- After the semolina turns golden yellow,add cashews and roast them..
- Now add the mashed banana and roast it till its dry..
- Add hot water as required and keep stirring..
- Let the water evaporate and add sugar,raisins and cardamom powder..
- Cover the pan and cook till sheera is nice and fluffy..
We can use jaggery with sooji too but we should keep in mind that milk. Sajjige, as it is called in parts of Tulunadu, is a highly heralded as a sweet dish.
