Ingredients of Ragi-Red Rice halwa
- You need 150 gm of Finger Millet/Ragi flour.
- You need 120 gm of red rice soaked for 4 hours.
- Prepare 100 gm of ghee.
- It's 150 gm of jaggery powder/melted if in chunks.
- You need Handful of almonds sliced fine.
- It's 1 Tb of ground green cardamom powder.
Ragi-Red Rice halwa step by step
- Strain the rice soaked completely and dry toast on a non stick pan for 8-10 minutes on medium heat.
- Let cool and dry grind it into fine powder.
- Melt the ghee in a non stick wok/pan on Low flame.
- Add the rice and Ragi flours and blend well and sauté for 5-7 minutes on Low heat.
- Add the cardamom powder and jaggery. Mix well and take off heat.
- Serve warm/ at room temperature garnished with almonds.
