Ingredients of RICE and DAL

  2. Prepare 1 Cup of Rice.
  3. You need 2 cup of water.
  4. You need 1 pinch of salt.
  5. It's 1/4 tsp of lemon juice.
  6. Prepare 1 tsp of ghee.

  8. It's 1 cup of tuar dal(soaked 15 minutes).
  9. It's 1 tbsp of dhuli masoor dal(soaked).

  12. Prepare 1 tsp of salt(to taste).

  15. You need 5-6 of garlic cloves (chopped).
  16. You need 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
  17. Prepare 5-6 of kari leaves.
  18. Prepare 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
  19. It's 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
  20. Prepare 1/4 tsp of hing.
  21. It's 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  22. It's leaves of Coriander.

OK, so we might never agree how to spell it, but I think we can all agree that Dahl is one of the most fabulous transformations of the humble lentil! So when making rice, I cook the rice and dal together in the IP. Stir and Serve the dal tadka with steamed rice or roti. You can garnish with some coriander.

RICE and DAL step by step

  1. Rice-- First Wash the rice and soak it in water for 5 minutes.Take a pressure cooker add rice, water, salt, lemon juice and ghee. Pressure Cook it for one whistle on medium -high flame. Cooking in pressure cooker save the time..
  2. Daal---- In a pressure cooker add both the dal, salt, turmeric powder and water. Cook it till 2-3 whistle or 8-10 minutes..
  3. Take a tadka pan heat ghee add mustard seeds in it,when it splutter add cumin seeds, hing, garlic, green chilli and curry leaves in it. Saute it for minute..
  4. Add red chilli powder. Turn off the flame. Pour this tadka in boiled dal. Add boil water to maintain consistancy if needed. Add coriander leaves..
  5. Rice and Daal is ready to serve..

Wash rice and dal changing water three to four times. In a blender, blend the rice and dal mix to very creamy texture.
