  2. It's 1 cup of thick poha(rice flakes).
  3. Prepare 4 tbsp of oil.

  5. You need 1 pinch of asafoetida.
  6. Prepare As needed of Curry leaves.
  7. You need 2 of onion chopped into long slices.
  8. You need 1/4 cup of grated carrot.

  10. It's 1 tsp of green chillies ginger paste.
  11. You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  12. You need 3 tbsp of sugar powder.

  15. Prepare 1/2 cup of roasted peanuts coarsely crushed.
  16. Prepare As needed of Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish.
  17. Prepare As needed of Besan sev and chanadal namkeen to garnish.

I have had this poha quite a few. Poha Chivda is a very common and popular snack in Maharasthra and Karnataka. It is a low fat snack and also is bill. I prefer to prepare Chivda varieties like Sago Chivda, Poha Chivda, Murmur Chivda.

  1. Wash and soak sago for 2 hours..
  2. Wash and keep poha aside for 1/2 hour. Keep all required ingredients ready..
  3. In kadhai add heat oil. Add cummin seeds as they splutter add asafoetida, curry leaves. Add all vegetables and mix and saute for few minutes..
  4. Add green chillies ginger paste, soaked sago and poha..
  5. Add turmeric powder, sugar powder, lemon juice and salt. Mix well. Cook for few minutes..
  6. Add roasted peanuts coarse powder and mix. Off the flame..
  7. Serve/ Relish Delicious Hot Veggies Sago Poha garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves,besan sev and chanadal namkeen..
