Ingredients of Garden Rice
- Prepare 2 cup of Left over rice.
- You need 4-5 of Cardamom.
- It's 1 of cinnamon stick.
- Prepare 2 of bay leaves.
- Prepare 2 of star anise.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Cumin seeds.
- Prepare 2-3 of cloves.
- Prepare 4-5 of cashewnuts.
- It's 1 of sliced large onion.
- It's 1 of medium diced tomato.
- It's 1 cup of spinach puree.
- You need 1/3 cup of boiled green peas(if available).
- It's 2 tsp of vegetable oil.
- Prepare 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
- It's 1/4 Tsp of turmeric powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Garam masala powder.
- It's to taste of Salt.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of lemon juice.
Garden Rice step by step
- Add oil in pan and once it's hot add whole spices, cumin seeds & cashewnuts. Saute it for few minutes..
- Add ginger garlic paste, sliced onions and cook until golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook until it gets soft..
- Now add spinach puree and green peas. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder,garam masala powder and salt. Mix well & cook for 5 minutes..
- Now add left over rice & lemon juice & mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes by covering the pan with the lid. Serve hot with raita..
