  1. Prepare 1/2 litre of milk.
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of suji (semolina).
  3. Prepare 6 tbsp. of brown sugar.
  4. You need 2 heaped tbsp. of custard powder (any flavour).
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp. of ghee.
  6. You need 2 of green cardamoms.
  7. You need 1-2 tbsp. of pistachios & cashews, chopped.
  8. It's 1 tbsp. of rose water (opt).

Suji and Custard Halwa instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together custard powder and 1/2 cup milk to a smooth paste. Keep aside..
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add the cardamoms, followed by the sooji. Roast till you get a nice aroma..
  3. Add the powdered sugar and the chopped nuts (keep aside few for garnishing)..
  4. Add the milk and simmer on a low flame till it turns slightly thick..
  5. Add the custard mix and combine well..
  6. It will thicken. Switch off the flame and add the rose water..
  7. Serve, garnished with the remaining chopped nuts..
