  6. It's 1 tsp of red chilly pd.
  7. It's 1 tsp of turmeric pd.
  8. It's 1 tsp of garam masala pd (or pulav masala pd).

  10. Prepare 3 of tomato paste.
  11. It's 1 of bay leaf.
  12. You need 3 of cloves.
  13. It's 2 of cardmom.
  14. It's 1 of cinnamon stick (dalchini).
  15. You need 1/4 of th tsp pepper.
  16. You need 1 cup of chopped carrot.
  17. You need 1/2 cup of chopped capsicum.
  18. You need 1/4 cup of green peas.
  19. It's 1/4cup of sweet corn.
  20. Prepare 1/4 cup of chopped beans.
  21. You need 2 tbsp of oil.
  22. Prepare 1 tbsp of clarified butter (ghee).
  23. You need of Salt as per taste.
  24. Prepare as needed of Water.

Tamil style recipe made with coconut milk. This is a very tasty vegetable pulao recipe. Vegetable pulav has a mix of vegetables and spices. This is a great dish for get-togethers, especially for lunch.

Veg pulav step by step

  1. Firstly wash rice & soak it in water for 15-20 mins. Drain and keep aside until needed.
  2. Next in a mixer grinder add ginger, garlic, green chilles & coriander leaves to this add little water & make fine paste.
  3. Heat ghee & oil together in a pressure cooker on low flame. Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, pepper,cardmom saute for 30 sec now add sliced onions & saute till it turns light brown.
  4. Now to this add tomato paste and fry for 5 mins,.
  5. Next to this add, capsicum, beans, carrot, green peas, sweet corn stir fry them for 2 mins.now to this add 2 1/2 cup hot water.
  6. Now add soaked(drained)rice,garam masala pd, turmeric pd red chilly pd, salt..
  7. Close the lid of cooker & cook over medium flame for 1 whistle.turn off the flame.
  8. Let it cool at room temperature,until pressure inside cooker comes down naturally.open the lid carefully & fluff the rice with a spatula,transfer it to a serving bowl.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with raita.
  10. Note - you can use basmati rice also.
