Ingredients of Milk Rava Kesari Halwa

  1. You need 1/2 cup of semolina (sooji).
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of sugar.
  3. Prepare 3/4 cup of full cream milk.
  4. You need 3/4 cup of water.
  5. It's 1 pinch of orange colour or few strends of kesar.
  6. It's 1 tbsp of desi ghee.
  7. It's 1 tsp of green cardamom powder.
  8. Prepare of few raisins & almonds.

This recipe is a modification from our regular rava kesari. Instead of water, i added milk. And i added some saffron and lots of fried nuts in it..rava milk kesari Sooji ka halwa , is generally we make by cooking the sooji in milk as the usual kesari is made by cooking the roasted rava in water.

Milk Rava Kesari Halwa step by step

  1. Heat the pan with 1 tbsp of ghee..
  2. Add semolina in it & roast..
  3. Cook till it becomes crunchy & put it in a plate,keep itaside..
  4. In same pan,pour water,sugar milk,orange colour,green cardamom powder & boil on a low flame..
  5. Stir till sugar absorbed with water & milk.Add almonds & raisins..
  6. Slowly add the roasted semolina to the mixture & stir continuously with the help of spatula with other hand..
  7. Take it out on a serving plate & garnish with roasted raisins & almonds..
  8. Cook covered until the moisture is absorbed..
  9. Serve hot..
