- You need 1 cup of semolina (rawa).
- You need 3/4 cup of pure ghee.
- Prepare 3/4 cup of sugar.
- You need 2 1/2 cup of milk.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of chopped cashews.
- You need 1 tbsp of chopped almond.
- You need 1 tbsp of raisin.
- It's 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder.
- You need 4-5 strands of saffron.

Suji halwa is also known as rava sheera in western India And Rava Kesari in South India. the method of preparation is more or less similar, with a few ingredients being changed here and there.

- Heat the pan and melt the ghee. Add semolina into pan and roast it well on low flame till it turns golden brown. Do remember to stir continuously..
- Heat the milk in separate container. When milk comes to boil switch off the gas. Keep it aside..
- Now add chopped cashews,raisin and almonds in a same pan of semolina and mix it well..
- Add boiled milk in a pan. Mix well till the milk is entirely absorbed..
- Finally add sugar and mix well and cover for 5 minutes..
- Open the lid add cardamom powder and saffron mix well. Now remove the pan from the heat..
- Satyanarayan Prasad is ready for navaidayam..
