Ingredients of Instant malpua

  1. Prepare 1/2 cup of wheat flour.
  2. Prepare 1/4 cup of milk powder.
  3. You need 1/4 cup of cream.
  4. You need Pinch of salt.
  5. It's 1/2 cup of sugar.
  6. It's as needed of water (3/4 cup approx.).
  7. It's 3-4 tbsp of milk.
  8. You need 1/2ltr or more of ghee for frying.
  9. You need 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder.
  10. It's 10-12 stirngs of saffron.
  11. You need 2 tbsp of or as required chopped any dry fruits.

Made using wholewheat flour and semolina, flavoured using fennel seeds. They are Indian pancakes made using flour + milk combination. They can be soaked in sugar syrup (like we are doing here) or can be served with a giant dollop of Rabri. Instant malpua step by step

  1. Mix wheat flour, milk powder and cream. Add some milk as required, also add pinch salt into batter and mix well. Keep aside..
  2. In a pan, add sugar and 1/2 cup of water(Add some more if require). Heat it and melt the sugar. Keep on medium heat for 2-3 min. Then add cardamom powder and saffron, and turn off heat. (Make the sugar syrup, do not make strings in syrup.).
  3. In a large bottom pan, add ghee and heat on slow to medium flame. When it is enough hot, add 1 spoonful of batter and keep it to cook itself..
  4. When it's sides turn Brown, flip/turn it with the help of spoon. Keep it for a min and remove it from ghee..
  5. Now add to sugar syrup and keep inside for 30-40 seconds..
  6. Remove from syrup, and put it in a plate. Garnish with dry fruits and serve..
  7. You can make rabdi/ serve with ready made rabdi..
