- You need 200 gm of ladyfinger (bhindi).
- It's 2 of onion chopped.
- It's 1 of tomato chopped.
- Prepare 1 inch of ginger grated.
- It's 2-3 of green chilles slit.
- You need 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
- Prepare 1 of bay leaf.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
- You need 1 tsp of coriander powder.
- It's 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
- Prepare to taste of salt.
- It's 1/2 tsp of garam masala.
- It's 1 tsp of kasuri methi.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of lemon juice.
- Prepare handful of fresh coriander chopped.
- It's 3-4 tbsp of oil.
Bhindi Masala instructions
- First In a wok / pan heat oil, add chopped bhindis, saute them on a low to medium heat for about 2-3 mins or till the bhindis becomes slightly tender.take them out in a plate keep aside..
- Now in the same pan add cumin seeds and bay leaf saute well, add ginger and green chillies stir well, add chopped onion and saute till light golden. Add chopped tomato and salt.stir well and cook covered for a min on medium heat.or until tomato gets soft..
- Add all dry spices and stir well..
- Now add fried bhindis and mix well till they well coated with masala.add little water if required and cook covered for 2-3 mins.Add garam masala, kasuri methi, fresh coriander and lemon juice. mix well and switch off the heat..
- Bhindi masala is ready to serve, serve with roti or chapati..
