Ingredients of Khajur Rolls
- You need 400 gms of seedless khajur (dates).
- It's 4 tbsp of ghee.
- You need 2 tbsp of poppy seeds (khus khus).
- It's 150 gms of mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)roughly chopped.
- You need 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder.
Khajur Rolls instructions
- Dry roast the poppy seeds & keep aside..
- Grind the dates into a coarse mixture, keep aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast the chopped nuts for 2 mins on medium flame..
- Transfer the nuts on a plate..
- Add the remaining ghee in a pan,heat it and add the dates mixture cook on medium flame for 3 to 4 mins.
- When the dates mixture becomes soft add the nuts mix well.
- Add poppy seeds and cardamom powder mix well..
- Cook till it forms like a lumpy dough..
- Transfer to a plate and let it cool. You can make ladoos of this. I have made rolls.
- Take allĀ the mixture in one place,roll it into a big roll. Roll it gently..
- Wrap it in an aluminium foil and refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut into slices..
