Ingredients of Chana Dal Barfi

  1. It's 1 cup of chana dal.
  2. You need 1/2 cup of ghee.
  3. You need 1/2 cup of condensed milk.
  4. You need 1 tablespoon of chopped almond.
  5. You need 1 tablespoon of chopped pistachio.
  6. Prepare 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder.
  7. You need 2 cups of milk.

Chana Dal Barfi step by step

  1. Wash chana dal,soak for 10 minutes and cook in 1cup milk for 15 minutes on low flame.If required add some water.Grind to a smooth paste..
  2. Heat ghee in a pan,add chanadal paste,add 1/2cup milk.Stir and cook on low flame for 20-25 minutes till paste is thick..
  3. Now add condenced milk,food colour,cardamom powder and 1/2 cup milk.Mix well and further cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame..
  4. Add chopped dry fruits and stir well till ghee separates.
  5. Put a butter paper on a tray,transfer chana dal mix on tray and make 1" thick slab.Mark the shape with the help of a knife as shown in the picture.Apply dry fruits..
  6. Refrigerate the tray for 1-2 hours.Cut burfis and serve..
