Ingredients of Chana Dal Barfi
- It's 1 cup of chana dal.
- You need 1/2 cup of ghee.
- You need 1/2 cup of condensed milk.
- You need 1 tablespoon of chopped almond.
- You need 1 tablespoon of chopped pistachio.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder.
- You need 2 cups of milk.
Chana Dal Barfi step by step
- Wash chana dal,soak for 10 minutes and cook in 1cup milk for 15 minutes on low flame.If required add some water.Grind to a smooth paste..
- Heat ghee in a pan,add chanadal paste,add 1/2cup milk.Stir and cook on low flame for 20-25 minutes till paste is thick..
- Now add condenced milk,food colour,cardamom powder and 1/2 cup milk.Mix well and further cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame..
- Add chopped dry fruits and stir well till ghee separates.
- Put a butter paper on a tray,transfer chana dal mix on tray and make 1" thick slab.Mark the shape with the help of a knife as shown in the picture.Apply dry fruits..
- Refrigerate the tray for 1-2 hours.Cut burfis and serve..
