- It's 1 litre of Full Cream Milk.
- Prepare 1 cup of Vermicelli/Seviyan.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Ghee.
- You need 1 cup of Sugar.
- It's 2 tsp of Cardamom Powder.
- It's 1 cup of Nuts (Almonds, Cashewnuts, Walnuts & Dates).
Vermicelli/Seviyan Kheer (Semiya Payasam) step by step
- Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan..
- Add vermicelli and roast till slightly brown. Remove from pan and keep aside..
- Add milk in a pan and let it come to a boil..
- Add the roasted vermicelli to the milk and reduce the heat to low..
- Cook on low heat for 15 to 20 mins till the vermicellis are soft..
- Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook for another minute. Off the flame..
- Garnish with chopped almonds, cashewnuts, walnuts & dates..
- Serve warm or else you can chill it in the refrigerator and serve cold..
