  3. Prepare 1 tbsp of Ghee.
  4. You need 1 cup of Sugar.
  5. It's 2 tsp of Cardamom Powder.
  6. It's 1 cup of Nuts (Almonds, Cashewnuts, Walnuts & Dates).

Vermicelli/Seviyan Kheer (Semiya Payasam) step by step

  1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan..
  2. Add vermicelli and roast till slightly brown. Remove from pan and keep aside..
  3. Add milk in a pan and let it come to a boil..
  4. Add the roasted vermicelli to the milk and reduce the heat to low..
  5. Cook on low heat for 15 to 20 mins till the vermicellis are soft..
  6. Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook for another minute. Off the flame..
  7. Garnish with chopped almonds, cashewnuts, walnuts & dates..
  8. Serve warm or else you can chill it in the refrigerator and serve cold..
