- Prepare of red chilli powder.
- Prepare of turmeric powder.

- Grind coconut, curd, green chillies and cumin into a paste in a blender..
- In a pan or wok/ karahi, add pineapple, water, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and sugar(depending on sweetness of pineapple). Cook slightly till pineapple is slightly soft..
- To the above mixture add the ground paste from step 1. Cook for 2-3 minutes..
- Heat coconut or sesame oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When it crackles,add urad dal, broken dry red chillies and curry leaves..
- Add the above tempering to the mixture in step 3 and cook for 1 minute.Switch off gas and leave the pachhadi for few hours. Serve with dosa or rice..
