Ingredients of Quinoa Biriyani

  1. Prepare 1 Cup of quinoa.
  2. Prepare 2 of onions chopped.
  3. Prepare 2 clove of garlic chopped.
  4. Prepare 1/2 of ginger stem.
  5. It's 1 of tomato.
  6. Prepare 1 Tablespoon of garam masala.
  7. It's 1 Tablespoon of coriander leaves chopped.
  8. You need 1/2 Cup of mushrooms chopped.

Quinoa Biriyani step by step

  1. Soak the quinoa for 30 minutes.
  2. In a pressure cooker, saute the onions until transparent.
  3. Add in the garlic and ginger and saute again until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add in the sliced mushrooms and stir until they are cooked.
  5. Add the tomatoes and saute until partially cooked. add the garam masala, coriander leaves and coat the ingredients well.
  6. Put the soaked quinoa into this mixture and pour water until covering just over the ingredients.
  7. Pressure cook for 2 - 3 whistles. If you don't have a cooker, steam fr about 20 mts. Check if quinoa is cooked - you will know when you see the grain soft and a small tail coming out of it :).
  8. Serve with coriander leaves as garnish.
